Funding the Athletics
High School athletics in the San Ramon Valley Unified School District are "self-funded". The athletic programs do not receive funding for equipment, uniforms, transportation, officials, or most coaching stipends. As such, participation contributions are solicited to fund these valuable programs. We encourage all interested students to try out for athletic teams. Participation in athletic programs is not dependent on financial contributions.
Athletic Boosters
The mission of the Monte Vista Athletic Booster Club is to promote and provide programs and projects which will enable the booster club to contribute additional funding to ensure the continuance of necessary and viable athletic programs; enlist strong community and parent support for athletics; provide our student athletes with proper and necessary equipment and facilities; and act as a liaison between the school administration, coaches, parents and athletes of Monte Vista High School.
East Bay Athletic League
Monte Vista High School participates in the East Bay Athletic League (EBAL) which is comprised of: Amador Valley, California, Carondelet, De La Salle, Livermore, Monte Vista, Foothill, Granada, and San Ramon Valley.
